In response to your voicemail, here is a summary of what I had witnessed this morning (5/25) at or around 7:29am.
I was heading eastbound on I-90 entering the tunnel just
after Martin Luther King Way. Traffic
(as per usual) was slowing down, and within 50-75 feet of entering the tunnel I
heard tires screeching and witnessed the Ford Escort crashing into another
vehicle (black sedan I believe). The
Ford Escort proceeded to go sideways and was coming towards me. I sped up and drove as far to the left side
as possible as to not be hit (no damage to my car – Jeep Grand Cherokee /
Silver). I pulled over to the left side
and put my car in park to make sure everyone behind me was ok and to double
check that I had not been hit. At that
point, traffic had stopped but the culprit in the Ford Escort started to drive
away. Witnessing this, I jumped back in
my car, dialed 911 and started to follow him
- there was no way he was going to get away with this. I drove up next to the car to get a better
view of the 2 men inside (both looked Hispanic) and to also collect the license
plate number (which I had read to the 911 representative). As we were crossing over the bridge (near
the mid-section), the driver pulled over which I’m assuming was due to the fact
that his front fender was completely damaged and hitting his left tire. I continued to drive on.

I just received and reviewed your statement, thank you
for taking the time to provide accurate and detailed information. Because of your actions today we were able to
identify, locate and subsequently arrest the driver from the running vehicle.
